Understanding Vehicle Slots

Vehicles have configurable slots for different components. The pilot seat is mandatory, but additional positions can be equipped with passenger seats or cargo chests. The manual shows which slots accept which components for your specific vehicle model.

Adding Passenger Seats

Craft or obtain additional seats and install them in available slots before placing the vehicle. Each seat allows another player to ride with you. Passengers can enjoy the view but typically cannot control the vehicle.

Installing Cargo Storage

Chests can be installed in non-pilot slots to carry items during flight or ground transport. This is useful for moving ore shipments, supplies, or trade goods between bases without ground travel risks. Access the chest's inventory while the vehicle is placed.

Important Limitation

Never place a chest in the pilot seat—it won't function properly and will prevent the vehicle from operating correctly. Plan your configuration carefully before assembly to maximize utility while maintaining proper control.
