Configure a Joystick or Controller for Flying

Setting Up Your Device

The mod supports any joystick or controller recognized by your system. Plug in your flight stick, gamepad, or steering wheel before launching Minecraft. The mod will automatically detect it as a valid input device.

Binding Controls

Access the mod's control settings through the in-game options menu. Map your joystick axes and buttons to vehicle controls: typically pitch, roll, throttle, and yaw. The manual provides guidance on recommended layouts for different controller types.

Testing and Tuning

Enter a vehicle and test your bindings in a safe area. Adjust sensitivity and dead zones if available in the settings to match your preference. Flight sticks offer the most intuitive experience for planes, while steering wheels work best for ground vehicles.

Mouse Yoke Alternative

If you don't have a joystick, the built-in mouse yoke system provides faster response than keyboard alone. Move your mouse to control pitch and roll, offering a familiar experience similar to other flight mods.
