How to Survive Raider Encounters by Biome
Understanding Raider Variants
Different biomes spawn specialized raider types. Plains feature Horse Raiders—fast mounted attackers. Deserts spawn Camel Raiders that track across sand. Oceans and rivers bring Boat Raiders, while mountainous or complex terrain introduces Spider Raiders that climb walls. Undead Raiders (resurrected pillagers, vindicators, and evokers) can appear anywhere.
Combat Strategies by Environment
Open terrain (plains/deserts): Use cover and elevation. Horse and Camel Raiders are fast but vulnerable to arrows from high ground. Keep distance and use ranged weapons.
Water: Avoid prolonged engagement with Boat Raiders in open water. Reach land quickly or use a boat yourself to escape.
Walls and caves: Spider Raiders climb, so fight in open spaces when possible. Use lava or fall damage strategically.
All encounters: Undead Raiders are tougher than standard variants. Use fire-based weapons or keep distance. Always carry healing items and armor repair materials.
