Locating Reinforced Chests

Reinforced chests are hidden inside pillager camps, scattered remains, and research laboratories throughout your world. These structures generate in various biomes and contain valuable loot, including research notes and rare items.

Using the Rusty Key

Reinforced chests cannot be opened with your bare hands. You must obtain a Rusty Key to unlock them. Search thoroughly through pillager structures—keys can be found as loot or crafted once you've gathered enough materials from the mod's progression.

Efficient Chest Hunting

Explore research laboratories first, as they tend to have multiple reinforced chests and are rich sources of research notes. Mark the locations of pillager camps and scattered remains on your map as you discover them. Return to these locations once you have a Rusty Key to unlock all available chests.

Be prepared for hostile encounters—these structures often spawn raiders and undead illagers. Bring adequate armor and weapons before attempting to raid them.
