Research notes are scattered throughout abandoned laboratories and other illager structures. Collect as many as you can find—each note contains fragments of illager knowledge that unlock crafting recipes. Explore thoroughly and check all chests and surfaces within research facilities.

Learning Totem Recipes

Once you've collected research notes, you can decipher them to learn new recipes. The mod provides a progression path where accumulated knowledge gradually unlocks the ability to craft totems. Study the notes you find to understand what materials and steps are required.

Crafting the Totem

The Crude Totem of Undying is your first step toward immortality. Gather the required materials (obtained from defeating raiders, exploring structures, and crafting) and use your learned recipes to assemble it. This totem provides protection against death, though it may have limitations compared to the standard Totem of Undying.
