Optimize Combat Against Upgraded Illagers

Recognize Armor Progression

Upgraders distribute armor to nearby Illagers as the raid progresses. Enemies that started with basic gear will become increasingly difficult to kill. This makes early-game raids significantly harder than vanilla versions.

Target Upgraders Immediately

Identify and eliminate Upgraders before they can equip their allies. They typically remain in defensive positions and don't engage directly. Ranged attacks work well since they won't flee far.

Adapt Your Damage Strategy

As Illagers gain armor, your basic weapons become less effective. Bring enchanted gear with high damage output, or use weapons that bypass armor partially. Headshots with arrows and critical hits deal more damage than standard attacks.

Use Crowd Control

Slow or weaken multiple enemies at once using potions or area-effect attacks. This prevents Upgraders from distributing armor to the entire group. Knockback effects can separate enemies temporarily.

Manage Prinzologer Threats

Prinzologers become even more dangerous when armored. Their mace attacks deal heavy damage and knockback. Keep distance and use hit-and-run tactics rather than prolonged melee combat.

Plan for Extended Fights

Raids last longer when enemies are heavily armored. Bring extra supplies and be prepared for multiple waves.
