Understanding Why Iceberg Library Is Installed

What is Iceberg Library?

Iceberg Library is a foundational utility mod that doesn't add items, mobs, or blocks to your world. Instead, it provides backend systems that other mods depend on to function properly. If you see it in your mod list, another mod you installed requires it.

Common Mods That Need Iceberg

Several popular mods use Iceberg Library as a dependency, including Legendary Tooltips, Prism, Equipment Compare, and Advancement Plaques. If you installed any of these, Iceberg was automatically included.

Do You Need to Do Anything?

No. Iceberg Library works silently in the background. You won't see new UI elements, crafting recipes, or configuration options related to Iceberg itself. Simply having it installed allows the mods that depend on it to display custom interfaces, compare equipment, or render advanced tooltips.

Client or Server?

Iceberg Library must be installed on both your client and server if you're playing multiplayer. If it's missing on either side, mods depending on it may fail to load or display incorrectly.
