Maximize Damage with Charged and Variant Attacks

Understanding Attack Variants

Your ice abilities have multiple power levels. Basic attacks are quick but weak, while charged and variant forms deal significantly more damage and apply stronger frost effects. Learning when to use each maximizes your combat effectiveness.

Charging Ice Shard

1. Hold your attack button to begin charging Ice Shard.

2. Release when fully charged to fire eight ice shards simultaneously instead of one.

3. This spreads damage across multiple enemies or concentrates it on a single target for massive frost buildup.

Using Chant and Maximum Output Variants

• These enhanced versions transform your base attacks into much larger, more powerful strikes.
• They consume more energy but deal area damage and apply heavy frost effects.
• Use them when facing tough enemies or groups rather than wasting them on weak mobs.

Energy Management

• Monitor your custom hotbar UI to track available energy.
• Alternate between basic attacks (cheap, fast) and charged/variant attacks (expensive, powerful) to maintain pressure without running dry.
• In cold biomes, your Strength bonus makes even basic attacks more effective, letting you conserve energy for critical moments.
