Frost stacks accumulate on enemies as they take cold damage from your ice attacks. When an enemy reaches maximum frost, they become completely disabled—unable to use special abilities, move as quickly, or attack effectively. This is your key to controlling difficult fights.

Strategy for Stacking Frost

1. Start with Ice Shard — Fire basic ice shards repeatedly at your target. Each hit applies frost and builds toward the threshold.

2. Use Charged Ice Shard — Hold your attack button to charge and release eight shards at once. This dramatically accelerates frost buildup on a single enemy or group.

3. Layer with other attacks — Combine shards with Ice Pillars or the Freezing Wave to stack frost faster. Each ability adds to the total.

4. Watch for the freeze state — Once frost reaches its peak, your enemy will be locked down. Use this window to deal heavy damage or reposition.

Pro Tips

• Fight in cold biomes (snowy plains) where you gain Strength and Resistance bonuses, letting you pressure enemies longer.
• Avoid hot biomes where you suffer Weakness, making frost buildup slower.
