Troubleshoot Wings Not Working

Verify Installation

Confirm that the base Icarus mod is installed and active before using this addon. This mod is a visual and crafting extension—it cannot function independently. Check your mods folder to ensure both mods are present and enabled in your launcher.

Check Equipment Status

Wings must be equipped in either your chestplate slot or back slot to function. Open your inventory and verify the wings are actually equipped, not just sitting loose in your inventory. Look for the equipped item indicator in your armor slots.

Confirm Airborne Status

You cannot activate wings while standing on the ground. You must be falling or already airborne. Jump off a high surface, use a water bucket to fall safely, or find a cliff to test your wings. The Jump key only deploys wings when you're in the air.

Test in Creative Mode

If wings still don't work in Survival, switch to Creative mode to rule out resource or recipe issues. If they work in Creative, the problem may be with crafting or equipment in your Survival world. Return to Survival and verify you've crafted the wings correctly.
