Craft and Equip Your First Wings

Gathering Resources

Before you can fly, you need to craft wings. Each wing style requires different materials found throughout your world. Feathered wings typically need softer materials, membrane wings require tougher resources, and butterfly wings use colorful or luminous items. Check your crafting table to see which ingredients you have available.

Crafting at the Table

Open your crafting table and look for wing recipes in the available options. Place the required materials in the correct pattern shown in the recipe. Once crafted, the wings will appear in your inventory as a wearable item.

Equipping Your Wings

Wings can be equipped in two ways: place them in your chestplate slot for protection and flight combined, or equip them in your back slot if you prefer to wear different armor. Once equipped, your character will visually display the wings on their back.

Taking Flight

Jump into the air and press your Jump key again while falling. Your wings will deploy and you'll begin flying. Use standard movement controls to steer through the sky. Remember you can only fly when falling or airborne—you cannot take off from the ground directly.
