How to Craft and Use Monster Masks

Obtaining Monster Masks

Monster masks are crafted from parts dropped by defeated enemies. Each mask corresponds to a specific monster type—Bokoblin masks come from Bokoblins, Lizalfos masks from Lizalfos, and so on. Gather the required monster parts and combine them at a crafting table to create your mask.

Using Your Mask

Once crafted, equip the mask in your helmet slot. While wearing it, monsters of that same type will treat you as one of their own and won't attack you. This is invaluable for exploring enemy structures like Bokoblin forts without constant combat.

Important: The mask only protects you from that specific monster type. Other enemies will still be hostile. If you remove the mask, nearby monsters will immediately recognize you as a threat again.

Strategic Applications

Use masks to safely navigate through monster-dense areas, gather resources near enemy camps, or observe monster behavior up close. This is especially useful when you're low on health or want to avoid unnecessary fights while exploring.
