Choosing Your World Type

When creating a new world, Hydrological Mod offers special presets beyond the default terrain. You can select worlds featuring floating islands or floating caves for unique survival experiences. The mod generates massive continents instead of scattered landmasses, creating a more cohesive landscape to explore.

Once spawned, seek out different cave types—Dripstone Caves contain copper and gold veins on their walls, while Lush Caves hold iron and coal deposits. At night, watch for fireflies dancing near tall grass. The mod also adds custom fog that shifts color based on your current biome's temperature, and places decorative elements like redstone spikes in lava areas and diamond shafts near bedrock.
