Set Up Your First Automated Farm

Gather Water and Build the Foundation

Start by placing a Liquid Siphon directly into a water source block—river, lake, or ocean. The siphon will slowly extract water without depleting the source. Connect Liquid Pipes from the siphon to a row of Liquid Tanks placed side-by-side; they'll automatically merge into a shared storage pool.

Plant and Automate

Place a Hydroponics Bed next to your tank cluster and connect it with pipes. The bed has four separate planting spots—insert seeds or saplings into each quadrant. Water will flow automatically from your tank network to keep crops hydrated.

Attach Item Pipes to the output side of your bed and route them into a chest or storage system. Harvested crops will pipe directly into your inventory network.

Boost Growth Speed

Place Sprinklers near your beds to accelerate crop growth by over double. A single sprinkler covers a nine-by-nine area, so position them strategically to cover multiple beds. For tree farming, use Tree Farm Beds instead—they'll automatically collect wood drops as saplings grow.

Once running, your farm requires no further input beyond occasional seed restocking.
