Making Husks a Persistent Daytime Threat in Your Survival World
The headline feature of this mod is that husks, unlike normal zombies, ignore the sun. That means once they spawn in your standard biome, they stick around all day. Here is how to lean into that.
Why It Matters
Normal zombies catch fire and die when morning comes, so most players treat daytime as safe from the undead. With husks spawning outside deserts, that assumption breaks. A husk that wandered near your base overnight will still be there at noon, still hunting you.
Practical Steps
1. Light up your base perimeter thoroughly. Since husks will not burn away, torches and other light sources are your only reliable spawn control.
2. Build walls or fences rather than relying on sunrise to clear threats.
3. Keep a weapon on your hotbar during the day, not just at night.
4. Check shaded areas, caves, and overhangs around your base each morning, since husks can shelter there indefinitely.
5. If you want daytime pressure reduced, lower the husk spawn chance in the config; if you want maximum tension, raise it.
Treat every dark corner as a possible husk hiding spot, because the sun will not do the cleanup for you anymore.
