Build and Deploy Siege Weapons
Crafting Siege Equipment
Siege weapons are powerful but require specific crafting recipes and materials. Check your crafting guide for items like catapults, ballistas, or other siege machines. These weapons deal massive area damage but are slow to set up and operate.
Placement and Setup
Siege weapons need space and time to deploy. Find elevated positions or clear areas where they won't be immediately rushed by enemies. Once placed, they require operators or commands to function. In RTS mode, you can target specific locations for siege weapons to fire at.
Tactical Use
Use siege weapons to soften enemy positions before your main army engages. They're excellent for breaking up large enemy formations or destroying fortified positions. However, they're vulnerable to fast-moving units, so protect them with infantry or cavalry.
Combining Arms
Siege weapons are most effective when supported by other units. Use infantry to hold the line while your siege weapons
bombard the enemy, or use cavalry to protect your siege equipment from enemy rushes. A well-coordinated army with siege support is far more powerful than any single unit type alone.
