Troubleshoot Armor Not Displaying Correctly on Horses

Check Your Load Order

Resource pack order matters. Make sure Horse Armor N Stuff X Fresh Animations is positioned above any other horse, armor, or animation packs in your resource pack list. Conflicting packs loaded after it will override the custom models.

Verify Dependencies Are Active

Open your mods folder and confirm:

• Entity Model Features is installed and enabled
• Entity Texture Features is installed and enabled

If either is missing or disabled, the custom armor models won't load. The pack relies on these to replace vanilla horse geometry.

Test with Fresh Armor

Equip a horse with armor and watch its movement:

• Correct: Armor follows smooth, detailed walking and running animations
• Broken: Armor clips through the horse, looks pixelated, or stays rigid

If broken, try removing other cosmetic or animation packs temporarily. If it works after removal, those packs conflict with this one. You may need to choose between them or find compatible alternatives.
