Preparing for Your First Hunt
Horizon's Robots Mod replaces normal wildlife with mechanical creatures across different biomes. Each robot type has unique attack patterns and behaviors, so direct combat isn't always effective.
Start by gathering information about which robots spawn near you. Watchers appear everywhere and move quickly, while Striders travel in groups through forests. Burrowers hide in dry biomes, and Grazers flee when approached.
When you defeat a robot, collect the special metal parts it drops—wires, lenses, and metal hearts. Robot wires can substitute for string in most crafting recipes. As you progress, you'll unlock elemental canisters that grant special powers like Shock, Ice, Fire, and Plasma to your weapons. Plan your approach based on each robot's behavior rather than relying on raw damage output.
