Filter Items Automatically with the Copper Hopper

Selective Item Pickup

The Copper Hopper picks up only the items you specify, leaving everything else on the ground. This is essential for sorting farms and preventing unwanted blocks from clogging your storage.

Steps

1. Craft or obtain a Copper Hopper and place it where you want filtering to happen.

2. Get the Hopper Configurator tool.

3. Right-click the Copper Hopper with the Configurator to open its menu.

4. Place one of each item type you want to keep into the five available filter slots. For example, put wheat, seeds, and carrots if you're filtering a mixed farm.

5. Close the menu when done.

Using Your Filter

The hopper will now only pick up dropped items matching those five types. Items that don't match stay on the ground for you to handle separately. You can reconfigure the filter anytime by opening the menu again with the Configurator.
