How to Find and Loot the New Piglin Structures in the Nether
Locating the Structures
These new piglin-inhabited structures generate in the Nether alongside the improved ruined portals. Because they are part of world generation, they only appear in chunks that were generated after you installed the mod. If you are playing on an existing world, travel to Nether areas you have never visited before — flying or tunneling in a straight line for a while is the most reliable way to hit fresh chunks.
Keep an eye out for built-up formations rather than the usual scattered netherrack. They tend to stand out against open lava seas and basalt deltas.
Looting Safely
- Bring gold armor. Wearing at least one piece keeps nearby piglins neutral so you can walk through the structure without being swarmed.
- Do not open chests or break blocks in front of piglins unless you are prepared for them to turn hostile — treat the interior like a bastion.
- Search thoroughly: the mod's structures are designed to hold treasures such as custom banners, potions, and mob heads, so check corners, upper platforms, and any container blocks.
- Carry fire resistance and a way to escape (ender pearls or a clear tunnel) in case a fight starts over lava.
Once cleared, mark the coordinates so you can return for the portal frame materials and any decorative blocks you want to reuse at your base.
