Make a Sign's Text Float in Mid-Air

Hide the Sign Background

The core feature of HoloSigns lets you remove the wooden board behind any sign, leaving only the text visible. This works with regular wooden signs.

Steps

1. Place a standard wooden sign and write your text on it

2. Obtain a Phantom Membrane (dropped by Phantoms or found in End ships)

3. Hold the Phantom Membrane in your hand

4. Right-click the sign while holding it

The wooden background will disappear, leaving your text floating in the air. The text remains fully readable and can be seen from any angle. This is useful for creating clean, minimalist signage around your base without visible wooden boards cluttering your builds.

Reversing the Effect

If you want to restore the background later, simply right-click the sign again with a Phantom Membrane in hand to toggle it back on.
