Understanding the Smelt Pattern

The Smelt pattern is a Hexal spell that heats and processes blocks or items, functioning similarly to a furnace but castable on demand. Unlike traditional furnaces, wisps can apply this spell remotely and repeatedly.

Preparing Your Setup

1. Capture a wisp and place it near your ore or material supply

2. Set up a linked wisp or casting interface that can feed patterns to your working wisp

3. Ensure your wisp has access to the items you want to smelt

Casting the Smelt Spell

Write or input the Smelt pattern into your casting system. The wisp will:

• Target blocks or items in its vicinity
• Apply heat to process them (ore → ingots, etc.)
• Repeat the spell as long as you continue sending the pattern

Optimization Tips

• Position wisps close to your material source to maximize efficiency
• Use multiple linked wisps to smelt different material types simultaneously
• Combine Smelt with other patterns to create a complete automation chain
• Consider using hoppers or item frames to feed materials consistently to your wisp
