How to Enter Apocrypha and Find Black Books

Locating Black Books

Black Books are the gateway to Apocrypha. Search for them in Solstheim biomes, particularly in Dark Elf Villages and Dwarven Towers. You can also obtain Black Book chapters through trading with Neloth, the powerful wizard NPC found in these structures.

Reading and Entering

Once you have a Black Book in your inventory, place it on the ground or hold it and interact to read it. Reading a Black Book will transport you directly into Apocrypha, the Daedric realm. You'll arrive in a dimension filled with floating book structures, strange green waters, and eerie architecture.

Safety and Return

Apocrypha is dangerous but forgiving—if your health reaches zero, you won't die permanently. Instead, you'll be sent back to your spawn point, allowing you to recover and prepare for another attempt. Use this to your advantage when exploring dungeons or battling creatures like Seekers and Lurkers.

Preparation Tips

Bring combat gear and healing items before reading a Black Book. The creatures in Apocrypha are hostile and challenging, so adequate armor and weapons are essential for survival.
