Mine Radioactive Ores Safely
Prepare Protective Gear
Before mining uranium or plutonium, craft a Geiger counter or dosimeter to detect radiation levels in your area. Equip radiation-resistant armor or a full protective suit if available. These items reduce the radiation you absorb when handling dangerous ores.
Locate and Extract Ores
Radioactive ores spawn deep underground. Use your Geiger counter to find deposits—the device will alert you as you approach radioactive materials. Mine the ore with a pickaxe, but work quickly to minimize exposure.
Use the Vein Miner
If you have access to a vein miner tool, use it to break entire ore clusters at once. This speeds up extraction and reduces the time you spend in a radioactive area. Collect your ores and retreat to a safe distance.
Monitor Your Radiation
After mining, check your radiation level using the dosimeter. Avoid mining more radioactive materials until your level drops to safe levels.
