Build and Power a Nuclear Reactor
Reactor Assembly
Construct the reactor multiblock using reinforced blocks and specialized reactor components. Place fuel rod slots in the core chamber and surround them with cooling systems. Attach control rods to manage the reaction rate—these prevent meltdowns by absorbing neutrons.
Fuel and Startup
Insert nuclear fuel rods into designated slots. Start with low-enrichment fuel for safety. Connect cooling systems (water or coolant loops) to remove heat generated during operation. Activate the reactor gradually using control rod adjustment.
Monitoring and Safety
Watch the temperature gauge constantly—overheating causes explosions and radiation. Maintain coolant flow by powering cooling pumps with generators. Extract spent fuel rods when depleted and store them safely away from your base. Use radiation shielding blocks around the reactor to protect nearby structures.
Reactors provide massive power output but require constant attention. Never leave an active reactor unmonitored for extended periods.
