How to Prepare Your Base for Random Teleportation in Happy Go Lucky

Understand What the Mod Actually Does to You

Happy Go Lucky teleports every player to a random location on a fixed timer (the wiki lists it as every 5 minutes). You cannot opt out per-player, so the only reliable strategy is to make your stuff survive the teleport even when you don't. Slow Falling and Resistance are applied after each jump, which softens the landing but does not protect your items or your base.

Build a Teleport-Proof Home

1. Keep your valuables in a single, well-known storage room. Because you will be yanked away mid-task, never carry your best gear while doing chores.

2. Put an Ender Chest in your base and keep a second one concept in mind: anything inside an Ender Chest travels with you across the teleport, so use it as your go-bag for tools, food, and a spare set of armor.

3. Sleep in a bed and set your spawn. If you die far away after a teleport, you respawn at your base instead of wandering.

4. Write down your base coordinates on a sign or in a notebook. A world map mod is strongly recommended by the mod itself, because without coordinates you may never find home again.

5. Keep a chest of "disposable" gear near your door: iron tools, basic food, a stack of blocks. Grab from it before you leave so a random jump never costs you diamonds.

Plan for the Timer

Do not start long projects (mining a vein, building a farm) without accepting you may be interrupted. Bank progress often.
