Upgrade iron or gold tools to diamond without losing enchantments

Using the Reforging Rune

The Reforging Rune allows you to upgrade iron and gold tools to diamond quality while preserving all enchantments. This is much more efficient than re-enchanting from scratch.

Upgrade Process

1. Gather a Reforging Rune (craft or find one)

2. Take your enchanted iron or gold tool to a Smithing Table

3. Place your tool in the left slot

4. Place the Reforging Rune in the right slot

5. Confirm the upgrade

6. Your tool is now diamond with all original enchantments intact

What This Preserves

• All enchantments (Sharpness, Efficiency, Unbreaking, etc.)
• Tool durability level
• Custom names (if applied)

Tips

• This is particularly valuable for tools with rare or high-level enchantments
• Gold tools can also be upgraded this way, though they're less common
• Plan ahead: gather valuable enchanted tools before upgrading them
• The rune is consumed in the process, so you'll need a new one for each upgrade
