Finding Connected Ore

The Prospector Pickaxe is designed to break all connected ore blocks of the same type in one swing. This is especially useful when mining ore variants that blend into surrounding stone.

How to Use

1. Craft or obtain the Prospector Pickaxe

2. Locate a vein of ore (coal, iron, diamond, etc.)

3. Strike any block in the connected vein with the pickaxe

4. All touching ore blocks of that type will break simultaneously

5. Collect the drops before they despawn

Tips

• The pickaxe only breaks ore blocks that are directly connected to the one you hit—it won't jump across gaps
• Ore variants (like coal in granite) work the same way as standard ore
• Combine this tool with the Lodestar Charm in your off-hand to automatically pull all drops toward you
• This tool is much faster than mining ore one block at a time, especially in large deposits
• Make sure you have enough inventory space, as large veins drop many items at once
