Cleaning Up After Dumb Villagers

Dumb Villagers will spontaneously create messes on the ground around them. These messes are purely cosmetic but can clutter your village aesthetic. To clean them up, simply use a Water Bucket on the mess tiles. The water will wash away the debris instantly.

Preventing Messes Proactively

If you want to stop a Dumb Villager from creating messes altogether, apply Duct Tape to it. This will silence the villager and prevent it from generating new messes. The tape can be removed at any time using Shears if you want to restore the villager's normal behavior.

Feeding Considerations

Be aware that feeding a Dumb Villager will trigger a mess to appear approximately five seconds later. If you're actively trading with or breeding Dumb Villagers, keep a Water Bucket handy to quickly clean up after feeding sessions. This is especially useful if you're maintaining a large trading hall with multiple Dumb Villagers.
