Fighting the Gritshell Boss

Find the Gritshell boss sleeping buried in mud within swamp biomes. Approach it to trigger the fight. Attack the boss's shell repeatedly to break it and force it into a second combat phase with different behavior.

To maximize damage with the morning star weapon, hold your shield up just before you swing—this timing boost makes your attacks hit harder. If you craft the morning star with the Scaring enchantment, it can penetrate through enemy shields.

When the fight gets dangerous, equip the shell armor chestplate to hide inside it and block all incoming damage. Be aware this armor has limited durability, blocks your vision while active, and reduces any healing effects you receive. Defeat the boss to collect shell shards for crafting.
