Mix Liquids and Multi-Ingredient Recipes with a Ladle
Setting Up for Stirring
The
ladle lets you combine multiple ingredients and liquids inside a
Mortar to create complex recipes. For heated recipes, place your Mortar directly on top of a campfire, blaze burner, or other heat source.
Stirring Recipes
1. Place ingredients in the Mortar: Add all required items and liquids to the Mortar block.
2. Equip your ladle: Hold a ladle in your hand.
3. Stir the mixture: Right-click the Mortar with the ladle. Each stir progresses the recipe.
4. Apply heat if needed: If your recipe requires heat, ensure the Mortar sits on an active heat source (campfire, blaze burner, etc.).
5. Collect your result: Once fully stirred, pick up the finished product.
Tips
- Check JEI or EMI to see which recipes need heat and how many stirs are required.
- The ladle has durability like other tools—craft new ones as needed.
- Heated recipes cook faster and may produce better results than unheated versions.
- Experiment with different heat sources; some may process recipes differently.
- Keep multiple ladles on hand for continuous stirring without tool-switching delays.
