How to Grind Enchantments Off an Item (Disenchanting)
Place the item and grind it
Place the enchanted item you want to strip into the grindstone-style interface added by the mod. The mod's whole point is letting you break an enchanted item back down instead of throwing it away or wasting it on an anvil. Once the item is in the slot, the interface shows the enchantments it currently carries and lets you select which ones to remove.
Choose what to keep and what to grind
Select the enchantment you want to extract or destroy. Depending on how the mod is set up, grinding returns the enchantment as a book, returns experience, or simply clears the enchantment from the item so you can re-enchant it. Confirm the action and the enchantment is removed. If you only want to clear one enchantment and keep the rest, do them one at a time rather than clearing everything at once.
Reuse the cleaned item
A stripped item is now a blank slate: you can re-enchant it with whatever you actually want, combine it with other gear, or salvage it. This is the main reason to grind instead of discard — you keep the base item and only lose the enchantment you chose to remove. Check the output slot before closing the interface so you don't leave a returned book or item behind.
