How to Get Experience Back From Enchanted Items

Grinding for XP

Besides moving enchantments around, the mod can return experience when you break an enchanted item down. If you have a chest full of enchanted junk you'll never use, grinding it is a way to recover some of the XP that went into enchanting it instead of letting it sit there.

Feed items through the interface

Place an enchanted item into the mod's grinding interface and confirm the grind. The enchantment is removed and experience is returned to you — either directly or as an output you collect, depending on how the mod is configured. Pick up or collect the XP before moving on. Repeat for each junk item you want to clear out.

Plan around it

Grinding for XP is most worth it on items with multiple or high-value enchantments, since those carry more experience. Low-level single-enchantment junk may not be worth the effort. If your goal is levels for an anvil or enchanting table, batch several items together and process them in one session. Don't grind an item you might actually want to keep or reroll later — once the enchantment is gone, you can't get that specific one back without re-enchanting.
