Set Up Your First Steam Turbine for Power Generation

Gathering Materials

Steam turbines are multiblock structures that convert steam into EU (energy units). Start by collecting the required machine casings, rotors, and structural blocks. You'll need steel and stainless steel components, which are crafted from processed ores in an alloy furnace or similar smelting machine.

Building the Turbine

Construct the multiblock in a flat area following the turbine's specific block arrangement—typically a hollow rectangular frame with rotor components inside. The exact dimensions vary, so check the structure hints by holding the controller block (the main interaction point) and looking at the assembled blocks.

Once placed correctly, the structure will activate and show a green check or glow effect.

Connecting Steam Supply

Attach steam pipes to the designated input port on the turbine. Route steam from a boiler or steam-producing machine into this input. The turbine will begin spinning and generating EU automatically.

Extracting Power

Connect energy cables to the output port to send generated EU to your battery storage or machines. Monitor the turbine's efficiency—it performs best when receiving consistent steam flow at proper temperature and pressure.
