Retrieve Items from Your Gravestone Without Destroying It

Using a Shovel

When you die and a gravestone spawns at your death location, you don't have to destroy it to get your items back. Simply hold a shovel in your hand and right-click on the gravestone. This will open the grave's inventory, allowing you to retrieve your stored items while keeping the gravestone intact.

When to Use This Method

This approach is useful if you want to preserve the gravestone as a memorial or if you're in a multiplayer world where you want to keep the grave structure visible. The gravestone will retain all its information about your death—including how many days you survived and the cause of death.

Important Notes

Make sure you have access to the grave. By default, all players can loot any gravestone, but your server or world may have restricted access enabled, meaning only the grave's owner can retrieve items. If the grave is protected and you're not the owner, you won't be able to access it even with a shovel.
