How to Combine the Gothic Font With Other Resource Packs

Font packs are small and usually only touch the font textures, which makes them easy to stack with texture packs, but the load order matters.

Understand Pack Priority

In the resource pack screen, packs higher in the list override those below them. If you want the gothic font on top of a full texture pack, place the font pack above the texture pack. If a texture pack happens to include its own font, the higher pack wins, so ordering decides which typeface you actually see.

Check for Conflicts

Most conflicts come from packs that also replace font assets, such as UI overhaul packs or other font packs. Never enable two font packs at once; you will only see one, and which one wins can be confusing. Disable the other font pack first, then reorder.

Test in a Safe Way

Apply changes, then open a singleplayer world and check three places: the chat box, an inventory tooltip, and a written book. If any of them look wrong or fall back to the default font, your pack order is the culprit. Move the gothic pack up or down one slot and re-test.

Keep It Lightweight

Font packs are tiny compared to terrain or shader packs, so adding one costs almost nothing in performance. That means you can safely keep it enabled alongside heavy packs. If you use shaders, the font is unaffected, since shaders do not touch GUI text rendering.
