Combining Good Lookin' Ground with Other Texture Packs
Understand Pack Scope and Layering
Good Lookin' Ground focuses exclusively on ground-type blocks—
stone, dirt,
sand, gravel,
obsidian, and similar terrain textures. It doesn't modify building blocks, mobs, or items. This makes it ideal for layering: place it below packs that handle other content categories. For example, stack it beneath a pack that improves wood blocks or decorative items without conflict.
Test Compatibility Before Committing
When combining packs, load both and spend time in different biomes and lighting conditions. Look for visual clashes where ground textures meet other modified blocks. If colors or detail levels clash, you may need to reorder packs or choose alternatives that share a similar aesthetic philosophy.
Use as a Foundation Layer
Treat Good Lookin' Ground as your terrain foundation. Layer more specialized packs on top—ones focused on structures, mobs, or specific biome enhancements. This approach keeps your ground visually consistent while allowing customization elsewhere, creating a cohesive overall look that doesn't feel disjointed.
