How to Find and Catch Biome-Specific Fish
Locating Fish by Biome
Gone Fishing! adds unique fish variants tied to different biomes. Each biome has its own aquatic creatures, so your catch will vary depending on where you fish.
Steps:
1. Travel to your desired biome (forest, desert, ocean, swamp, etc.)
2. Find any body of water—rivers, lakes, and oceans all work
3. Use any fishing rod to cast your line into the water
4.
5. Check your inventory to see which biome-specific fish you've caught
Maximizing Your Catches
To collect a wider variety of fish:
- Visit multiple biomes and fish in each one
- Fish in different water types (shallow vs. deep) within the same biome
- Return to biomes at different times to potentially encounter different variants
- Keep a journal of which fish spawn where to plan your fishing routes efficiently
Some fish may be rarer than others, so patience and persistence are key. The more you fish in a biome, the better you'll understand its unique aquatic ecosystem.
