Getting Started with Gnomes

Finding and Awakening Gnomes

Gnomes begin as solid blocks hidden within village structures. To recruit one, locate a gnome block and right-click it to awaken the statue into a living companion. The player who first activates a gnome becomes its owner.

Each gnome type serves a different purpose: Healers throw potions to restore health, Warriors charge into combat, and Archers attack from range. When you no longer need an active gnome, hold Shift and right-click it to return it to block form.

Statue blocks retain special abilities even when inactive—Healers accelerate crop growth, Warriors grant nearby strength boosts, and Archers automatically fire at hostile mobs. All gnome types slowly heal your tamed pets regardless of their state.
