Create a Transparent Floor with Glass Carpets

Gathering Materials

Collect glass blocks and wool or dye to craft glass carpets. You can use regular glass, any color of stained glass, or tinted glass depending on your desired aesthetic. Tinted glass works well if you want a darker, more opaque transparent floor.

Crafting Glass Carpets

Place two glass blocks in a horizontal row on a crafting table to create a glass carpet. This works the same as wool carpet crafting. You can batch-craft multiple carpets at once by using multiple rows of glass.

Placement and Design

Place your glass carpets on blocks to create transparent flooring. Unlike wool carpets, these won't hide the blocks beneath them—you'll see through to whatever is below. This makes them ideal for:

• Creating see-through walkways over decorative blocks
• Building transparent pathways over water or lava
• Designing modern floors with visibility to lower levels
• Combining different glass carpet colors for patterns

Glass carpets follow standard carpet placement rules: they sit on top of blocks and can be walked on normally. Layer them with different colored stained glass variants to create intricate floor designs.
