Craft Your First Gilded Sherd

Gather Your Materials

To create a gilded sherd, you need two items:

• A decorated pottery sherd (any variant from the base game)
• A gold nugget

If you don't have gold nuggets yet, smelt gold ingots in a furnace to obtain them.

Craft at a Crafting Table

Place your decorated sherd and gold nugget together in a crafting table. The exact recipe layout follows standard Minecraft conventions—the sherd and nugget can occupy adjacent slots. Once crafted, you'll receive a gilded version of that sherd, which retains the original decoration while gaining a golden appearance.

Display Your Work

Gilded sherds work beautifully in decorative builds. Use them in pottery displays, treasure rooms, or as accent pieces in builds inspired by luxury and wealth. The gilding catches light and adds visual richness to any structure.
