Unlike superhero origins that grant instant powers, human characters start without innate abilities but gain the flexibility to craft and unlock powers during normal survival gameplay. This path rewards exploration and resource gathering.

Gather Materials and Craft Abilities

Human progression involves crafting specific items or completing tasks to unlock superhuman abilities. These abilities are discovered through experimentation and survival activities rather than genetic selection. Check your crafting recipes and power menu for clues about what materials or conditions unlock new powers.

Balance Survival and Progression

As a human, you'll level up through the same experience sources (mining, combat, machines) but your stat allocation becomes even more critical. Without an origin's built-in advantages, your skill point distribution directly determines your effectiveness. Focus on stats that complement your playstyle early, then diversify as you level.

Reroll to an Origin Later

If you decide human gameplay isn't for you, genetic rolls earned every ten levels let you switch to a superhero origin. This makes human a low-risk way to learn the mod's mechanics before committing to a specific power fantasy.
