Choose Your First Origin and Start Building Your Character

Open Your Character Sheet

When you spawn into a new world, immediately press your Character Sheet keybind (check your controls settings if unsure). This opens your RPG stat screen where you'll see your current attributes and genetic roll options.

Spend Your Starter Genetic Rolls

You begin with genetic rolls that let you select a superhero origin or remain human. Each origin grants unique powers:

• Alien origins (Daxamite, Strontian) excel at raw damage and flight
• Supernatural origins (Werewolf, Pseudo-Vampire) favor speed and melee fury
• Defensive origins (Indestructible Skin, Immortality) tank damage effectively
• Aquatic origins (Seafolk variants like Ray or Octopus) dominate water combat
• Human lets you craft and unlock abilities through survival gameplay instead

Understand the Tradeoff

Origins give immediate power but lock you into their playstyle. Humans start weaker but gain flexibility by crafting custom abilities. Choose based on whether you want instant superhero gameplay or gradual progression.

You'll earn another genetic roll every ten levels, so this choice isn't permanent—you can reroll later.
