Making a Chest Private

Private chests give you exclusive access and increased storage capacity, perfect for valuables or personal supplies.

1. Locate the lock icon on the front of your chest

2. Hold a diamond in your hand

3. Right-click the lock with the diamond to claim ownership

4. Confirm the lock activates—the chest is now private to you

Understanding Private Chest Benefits

Once locked:

• Only you can open it, even if other players are nearby
• Storage capacity doubles compared to a standard linked chest
• Items remain hidden from other players unless they access the chest directly with your permission
• Dyes still work normally—your private chest can still be part of a linked network if you apply dyes

Note: Private chests are tied to your player account. If you want to share access with teammates, keep chests unlocked or use separate linked channels for shared resources.
