Choosing Your First Generator

FTB Industrial Contraptions uses ⚡ Zaps as its power system. Start with a Basic Generator fueled by coal for steady, early-game power production. Once you can access lava, upgrade to a Geothermal Generator for double the output.

For passive power, Solar Panels scale with tier and Wind Mills depend on placement height and surrounding space—both require no fuel but need proper setup. As you progress, Nuclear Reactors offer high output but demand careful management.

Remember: machines can be damaged by power mismanagement, so don't overload your early systems. Use Machine Upgrades to boost weak machines before pushing them to their limits.
