How to Breed Crabs and Collect Their Drops

Finding and Feeding Crabs

Crabs spawn naturally in mangrove swamps and on beaches. Approach them and feed kelp to initiate breeding. You'll need at least two crabs and a supply of kelp to start a breeding pair.

Collecting Eggs and Waiting for Hatchlings

After feeding kelp to two crabs, they will breed and bury their eggs in nearby mud or sand blocks. The eggs take time to hatch into baby crabs. Once hatched, the babies will grow to full size and can be bred again.

Harvesting Crab Drops

When crabs are killed, they drop their claws, which have special uses in the mod. Crab claws can be used to brew potions that extend your reach, allowing you to interact with blocks from farther away than normal. This is particularly useful for building and mining in difficult-to-access areas.

Tips for Efficient Farming

Keep your crabs in a contained area near a kelp farm for easy access. Build a simple pen using fences or walls to prevent them from wandering. Having multiple breeding pairs will speed up claw collection.
