How to Tell Which Mobs Fresh Animations Changes

What Gets Overhauled

Fresh Animations focuses on the vanilla mobs you see most: passive animals like cows, pigs, sheep, and chickens, hostile mobs like zombies, skeletons, and creepers, and villagers and illagers. Each gets more natural idle, walk, and attack motion, plus small details like head tracking and blinking.

How to Spot the Differences

1. Stand near a group of animals and watch them idle. Look for breathing, ear twitches, and head turns that vanilla lacks.

2. Watch a zombie or skeleton walk. The gait is smoother and limbs move more naturally than the stiff vanilla swing.

3. Provoke a creeper and watch its fuse animation, which is more expressive.

4. Observe villagers going about their day for nodding and gesturing.

Mobs That Stay Vanilla

Modded creatures and some less common vanilla mobs may not be covered, or may only get partial support. Bosses and special entities often keep their original animations. If a mob looks unchanged, it is likely simply not included rather than broken.

Comparing Side by Side

Temporarily disable the pack and watch the same mob, then re-enable it. The difference is easiest to see on walking animals and on idle villagers. This also confirms the pack is loading correctly if you are unsure.
