How to Fix Fresh Animations Details Not Working (Pack Order and Conflicts)

The Golden Rule: Load Order

The single most common reason Details features do not appear is incorrect pack order. Details is an add-on, not a standalone pack. It must sit above the main Fresh Animations pack in your resource pack list. If it loads below, the main pack's models overwrite the extra parts — floppy pig ears, cow tails, fish fins, and baby variants all silently vanish.

Step-by-Step Check

1. Open Options, then Resource Packs.

2. In the Selected list, drag Details so it is the topmost of the two Fresh Animations entries.

3. Confirm the main Fresh Animations pack is directly beneath it.

4. Click Done and reload the world or press F3+T to reload resources.

Other Conflicts to Rule Out

• Any other pack that edits pig, cow, chicken, sheep, or fish textures will fight Details. Move Details above those packs, or remove them.
• If only some features work, you likely have a partial conflict — test with Details as the only selected pack plus the main animations pack.
• On servers, resource packs are client-side, so each player must set their own order; the server cannot force it.
• If models look broken rather than missing, your Minecraft version may not match the pack's supported version — check the pack description for compatibility.

Reloading with F3+T is faster than restarting the game when testing order changes.
