How to Lock Doors

Lockable doors provide defense against intruders in survival mode. To secure a door, hold a key item in your hand and right-click the door. Right-click again to unlock it when needed.

You'll need key items to manage your doors. Keys can be crafted or duplicated using the Key Maker interface—check your crafting menu for recipes involving iron materials.

Locked doors are harder to break than standard doors, making them effective for base security. Pair them with other mod features like decorative chests for secure storage and wall clocks for automated redstone defenses to create a well-protected home.
