Understanding Player Flesh and Survival Mechanics
What Happens When You Die
Food TXF adds a unique mechanic: when a player dies, they drop
Player Flesh instead of (or in addition to) normal drops. This item can be collected and used like other food sources in the mod.
Using Player Flesh
Player Flesh functions as a food item with its own hunger and saturation values. It can be cooked using furnaces or the Skillet to create a cooked variant with improved nutritional value. You can also use it as an ingredient in recipes with other crafting tools.
Moral and Practical Considerations
This mechanic introduces a survival element where players can sustain themselves using dropped flesh from fallen players or themselves in multiplayer scenarios. In single-player, it provides an alternative food source when other options are scarce.
Cooking and Crafting
Treat Player Flesh like any other meat ingredient. Process it with the
Cutting Board, cook it in the Skillet for better results, or incorporate it into complex recipes like empanadas and sandwiches. The cooked version provides superior nutrition compared to the raw form.
